The picture on the left is an eight pointed cross representing the eight parts, of life. This symbol may be familiar if you are considered to be a Buddhist. This symbol is similar to the dharmachakra from Buddhism. The reason for this relation is because they both display the same somewhat "meaning" but obviously different things because they are two different religions. The eight pointed cross is a symbol were each direction resembles a different meaning.
The points of the cross represent the following: "The urge toward existence as self, as an individual; the urge to survive through creativity, including the family unit and the rearing of children; the urge to survive through a group of individuals or as a group; the urge toward survival through all Mankind and as all Mankind; the urge to survive as life forms and with the help of life forms such as animals, birds, insects, fish and vegetation; the urge to survive of the physical universe, by the physical universe itself and with the help of the physical universe and each one of its component parts; the urge to survive as spiritual beings or the urge for life itself to survive; the urge toward existence as infinity, also identified as the Supreme Being" (Scientology.org)
As stated from the Scientology official website above, if followers of Scientology accomplish all of these points of the cross then one will live in harmony with themselves and they will wake up to its findings and beliefs. The photo to the right is the “S” symbol. The "S" stands for Scientology and everything within the religion. The lower triangle of this symbol is called the A-R-C Triangle. Each letter represents a different meaning. "A for Affinity, R for Reality and C for Communication. The first corner of the triangle is affinity, which means liking or affection for someone or something so it's somewhat the "love" corner as said before is represents the passion for someone. Reality is the second corner and is represented for agreement so just the fact of being able to agree and be approachable by others. The third corner is communication, defined as the chemistry between two people." (Scientology.org) An example of this could be like a bond between an entire team as having good chemistry overall will make that team thrive. "Without a degree of liking and some basis of agreement, there is no communication. Without communication and some basis for affinity, or emotional response, there can be no reality. Without some basis for agreement and communication, there can be no affinity" (Scientology.org) When one corner of this triangle is improved, the other two corners are also improved because of the balance between the corner of the triangle. Everything has to be balanced to be able to work. If a corner out weighs the other two things in ones life will become unbalanced. there can be no corner out weighing the other two. The upper triangle is the K-R-C Triangle. K for Knowledge, R for Responsibility and C for Control. Like the other points of the A-R-C Triangle, the three elements are bounded to each other. As before one cannot out weigh the other or else unbalance will come to their life.
