Beliefs: The main goal of Scientology is to provide humans with the "Bridge to total freedom" or enlightenment. (Rollingstone.com). The term Scientology means "the study of truth". This religion borrows pieces from different religions like, Buddhism, Hinduism and Christianity. It takes elements from each to create different levels of acceptance. By having different levels and sessions the church tries to work with individuals to wake them up from one's "cemented" mind so through their so called "sessions" they will be able to break free a person and enable them to follow or make it easier to follow the fundamental truths that are set out by the church. As one becomes more alert it increases their abilities and allows for a greater understanding and prepares them to be able to handle their life and help others through the same process from their past knowledge. The church believes that once the individual has reached this moment in their lives they will be able to help out with balancing their life with family, self, friends and mankind as a whole. These stages prepare the Scientologists to continue to believe that they are on a mission to save the world.
